Terms of Service
Last updated September 15, 2026
These terms govern use of Tixivent by organizations, staff, and ticket holders. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The product
Tixivent lets an organization create events, collect orders, confirm payments, issue QR tickets, and check guests in at the door. Organizations in Canada and the United States select a country so currency and pay methods (Interac e-Transfer, Zelle, and cash) match how they collect funds.
Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep access to your email. Organization owners are responsible for staff they invite and for what those roles can do (sell, confirm payment, scan, or view reports). You must not abuse the service, access other organizations’ data, or attempt to guess ticket tokens.
Orders and tickets
A public order stays pending until your staff confirms payment. Tickets are issued only after confirmation. Cancelling or letting a hold expire releases inventory. Transferring a ticket creates a new QR and retires the old one. You are responsible for honouring tickets you issue and for disputes with guests.
Plans and billing
Feature limits (organizations, events, staff, messaging, and similar) are defined by the plan on your account. We may update those entitlements. Free is available without a card. Pro is a paid subscription billed annually in Canadian dollars (CAD) through Stripe, at 20% off the monthly rate. Monthly billing is only available if Tixivent turns that option on.
Self-serve upgrades require completing Stripe Checkout. Until you finish payment, your account stays on Free unless a Tixivent operator assigns Pro for you. Switching back to Free cancels a Stripe subscription when one exists. Ticket sales to your guests are not billed through Stripe and are not included in the Pro fee.
Subscription charges appear on your statement from Stripe on behalf of Tixivent. Refunds, if any, are handled by Tixivent and processed through Stripe.
Availability
We work to keep Tixivent available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change. We may suspend an organization that abuses the platform or harms other users.
Liability
Tixivent is provided as-is for operating events. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost ticket revenue, failed e-Transfers or Zelle payments, door check-in disputes, or event cancellation. See also the Disclaimer.
